Growing up in Atlantic Canada in a family of builders, I learned early that hard work, resilience, and a good sense of humor were essential survival skills, especially in a house with eight siblings. My grandfathers-built ships, my father shaped homes, and my mother orchestrated controlled chaos like a seasoned CEO. From them, I inherited the values of kindness, quality work, and accountability- cornerstones of my leadership approach today.
My HR journey began at fourteen and evolved into a career focused on understanding how organizations work: how leaders make decisions, how teams operate, and how people practices influence the way business gets done.
Over the years, I have partnered with engineering firms, advanced manufacturers, technical organizations, and growth-focused businesses, bringing together HR expertise, operational understanding, and a practical business perspective.
My experience has shown me that organizations rarely need a one-size-fits-all solution. They need the right support, at the right time, designed around their unique situation.
With academic foundations from multiple institutions and certifications in leadership, coaching, and behavioural assessment tools, I have continued to build my expertise in both the human and operational sides of organizations. This combination allows me to approach challenges through multiple lenses—understanding the people impact while considering the business realities behind every decision.
I founded HR Navigation to provide flexible access to HR, safety, leadership, and organizational expertise. Sometimes that means advising leaders, sometimes building foundational practices, and sometimes leading complex initiatives that require specialized expertise. Through our network of trusted professionals, we bring together the right people and resources to support the needs of each organization.
